Shamrock Part 2

This is the old gas station and the former downtown strip of Shamrock. One of those buildings looked like a place where ceramic dolls were made. There were still random heads and molds in it. A little creepy!

Shamrock Part 1

Welcome to Shamrock. Established in 1910, this town boomed almost overnight with oil fields sprouting up all around it. The whole town was built with Irish street names, green buildings, and supposedly there is even a Blarney Stone there. (now I have to go back to find it!) Once home to about 10,000, only about 100 are left and most of the buildings and houses are overgrown, vandalized, and decaying. However, the town still does sport an annual St. Patrick's Day parade!

Old Shamrock school. It was pretty incredible and eerie.
